This is a template to be used by landlords in England and Wales when they are reviewing the condition of a property mid-tenancy. It could also be used at the end of a tenancy in same manner.
It is essential that Landlord’s regularly inspect their properties when let to tenants. The inspections should be carried out in a methodical and structured manner. This checklist can be used whilst walking around the property conducting the inspection and can be signed by both the landlord and the tenant once complete.
This will act as perfect evidence in the event of a dispute between the parties at a later date.
It can also be used to manage tenants mid-tenancy to prevent issues from arising or escalating.
