ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

${business_name}

As a business we are committed to implementing, developing and maintaining procedures which will minimise the impact we have on the environment. We will comply with at least the minimum legislative standards, but our aim is to exceed those standards in all areas that we are able to do so.

In order to do this we will have regard to:

  1. Our overall procedures;

  2. Training and awareness;

  3. How we deal with waste;

  4. Our utilities consumption;

  5. Procurement

OUR PROCEDURES

When creating and reviewing our business procedures we will have significant regard to environmental concerns. We will aim to implement practices which allow us to minimise the impact that those practice will have on the environment.

We will continuously monitor our practise to ensure that this aim is met.

TRAINING & AWARENESS

All staff will be trained, and training will be updated as and when appropriate, in environmental issues. We aim to promote both good practice within our general procedures and individually amongst our staff.

WASTE

Our aim is to have procedures in place to minimise the waste we produce and encourage efficiency. All staff are actively encouraged to recycle and re-use when it is possible to do so.

UTILITIES AND CONSUMPTION

Our business processes and the general culture communicated to staff is that we should make efficient use of utilities and be environmentally responsible when consuming energy or water.

Our procedures are monitored to ensure that we are operating in a manner which continues to be energy efficient where ever it is possible to do so.

PROCUREMENT

We require that our suppliers have good policies and procedures in place to ensure that they are minimising their impact on the environment.
